Cuban cigars

Every Cuban cigar sold under the Habanos banner is a puro, meaning wrapper, binder and filler are all grown on the island. Most of the best leaf comes from the Vuelta Abajo in Pinar del Rio, a strip of land roughly a hundred kilometres long whose soil and humidity have never been convincingly reproduced anywhere else. Cuban cigars are rolled totalmente a mano con tripa larga, entirely by hand with long filler, and carry a box code recording the factory and month of production. The flavour signature people look for is earth, cedar, coffee and a faint sweetness, though it varies widely between the marcas.
