Description
Bolívar's Edición Limitada for 2018, a Duke at 54 ring gauge and 140mm, and one of the fullest cigars in this catalogue. The profile is intense and unmistakably Bolívar: earth and wood up front, heavily toasted, with ripe dried fruit and a spiced sweetness underneath. It finishes long on leather, coffee, smoked cedar, prune, hazelnut, black pepper and cane honey. The wrapper is a mature, silky red-brown; the burn is good and the ash a matt charcoal grey streaked darker. The aroma carries the same aged, roasted character, leaving coffee, pepper, bitter almond and smoked cedar. A full-strength cigar for an experienced palate — not a first Bolívar.
Frequently asked questions about Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10)
What does Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10) taste like?
Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10) shows notes of dried fruit, leather, coffee, cedar and black pepper. Those come from the blend itself rather than any added flavouring — every cigar we sell is a natural, hand-rolled premium cigar. Tasting notes shift with how the cigar is stored and how slowly you smoke it, so treat this as the profile to expect rather than a guarantee.
How strong is Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10)?
Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10) is a Full cigar. On the five-point scale used across this catalogue, that is where it sits relative to everything else we stock. Strength describes nicotine impact, not flavour intensity — a mild cigar can still be highly flavourful, and a full one can be smooth.
What size is Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10)?
Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10) is a Duke, 140mm long with a ring gauge of 54. Ring gauge is the diameter in 64ths of an inch, so a larger number means a thicker cigar and generally a cooler, slower smoke. It is sold as a box of 10.
Where is Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10) made?
Bolivar Soberano EL 18 (10) is made in Cuba. Origin is the single biggest influence on a cigar's character: Cuban Habanos lean earthy and spicy, Nicaraguan tobacco tends to be bolder and sweeter, and Dominican blends are usually the most approachable of the three.
