Figurado is the collective name for any premium cigar that departs from the straight-sided parejo format. Shapes in this family, including the torpedo, pyramid, perfecto, belicoso, and salomon, are tapered, pointed, or irregular in some way, and each produces a distinct draw and flavour progression as the cigar burns down. Because of their complex construction, figurados demand a higher level of skill from the roller and are widely regarded as a showcase of the cigar maker’s craft.
